"If it ends as it stands" assumes the team leading an in-progress game wins that game.
Tied games and games with no score shown are not applied. Cancelled games and no-games stay in the remaining schedule.
Official figures are reflected the next morning. The values here are provisional estimates based on games in progress.
When one team has a magic number, the clinch date in the league summary is the projected date on which that team wins the title.
The win probability is a rough guide drawn from the current score, the innings left to play, and the runs both teams have scored and allowed this season. Before the game it is drawn from the season records of both teams.
How to read this page
The top of the page lists today's games one per line. Scores are shown small, as a way to check where a game stands; innings and pitchers are not covered. In the league blocks that follow, each club's title odds, magic number, projected clinch date and Climax Series odds appear in two rows, 'pre-game' and 'if it ends as it stands', while the league's winning line and projected clinch date sit in the block heading.
Differences are shown like '+14.6 pt', where pt is short for points and means the difference in the probability itself. When a difference is small it is reported as no change, with no color or number. A league with no games today keeps the pre-game values. The name of each measure and the links at the end lead to the page that covers it in detail.
How the numbers are handled
The 'if it ends as it stands' value fixes a win for the club leading each game in progress and then plays out the remaining schedule repeatedly by statistical simulation. A draw cannot be assumed, so a tied game is not applied and is marked as tied and not applied. Cancelled games and no-games stay in the remaining schedule.
