The players holding a place in the top team on this page are the players whose guide figure, taken from the official first-team results of this season, comes out above the top-team minimum.
The no draft column holds the players who joined without going through a draft. Players from outside Japan, who do not go through the draft, are counted here as well.
Players whose route cannot be settled from the official announcements stay in the route not known column.

How to read the roster origins
Only the players holding a place in the top team are counted here. This is not the full roster including the farm system, so the totals come out smaller than a club's registered player count. Each player has exactly one route, so nobody appears in two columns.
The draft column is for players the club itself selected who are still at that club. Free agency, trade, active player draft and signed after release are decided from the most recent official announcement in which the receiving club is this club. Players whose current club differs from the club that drafted them but for whom no announcement is found are left in the route not known column.
How free agency in and out is counted
The free agency figures count the declaration rows in the official announcements club by club. Rows where the club a player declared from and the club he signed with are the same are not counted, so the total in and the total out come to the same number. This table and chart are separate from the current roster: they list the moves as they happened.
Frequently asked questions
Which players are counted?
Only the players whose guide figure, derived from their record, comes out above the minimum guaranteed pay for the top team. Players who barely appeared for the top team are not included. It is the same list as on the age profile page.
Who is in the no draft column?
Players who joined without going through a draft. Players from outside Japan, who do not go through the draft, are here too. The source has no nationality field, so this page does not split players by nationality.
Why does the route not known column appear?
It is for players whose current club differs from the club that drafted them but for whom no single move can be found in the official announcements. The number falls as older announcements arrive. Nothing is moved into another column by guesswork.
