Frequently asked questions
Why do some players show a dash instead of a rating?
Those players have not yet reached 100 plate appearances this season (30 innings pitched for pitchers), or do not reach the line even when the most recent seasons are combined. Players on a development contract do not receive a rating either. Players with little playing time are not listed in the table.
How are players who changed clubs during the season handled?
The Yomiuri batters table shows the statistics from the spell with this club. Only the recent-seasons column adds together spells with different clubs in the same league.
When are the figures updated?
Updated with the official statistics up to the previous day. The reference date appears under the heading. At the end of the season the figures are fixed to the final statistics.
