Pick one of 20 fictional clubs and face 5 rivals that change each season over 143 games.

Your calls at key moments are scored by win probability from real pro baseball games.

How to play

Pick one of 20 fictional clubs and manage it through 143 games against 5 other clubs, drawn anew each season.

Games follow your device clock, 6 a day (24 hours), and you play the 6 opening-day games right away. From inning 7 on, with the score within 1 run, runners on, and calls that differ by 2 pt or more in win probability (a key moment), play stops and you pick one of up to four calls.

While you are away your coach makes the calls, and when you come back you make the key calls of the last 3 games. Standings, pennant chances and the magic number appear once you catch up. The record stays only on this device.

How the manager rating works

In each key moment the best call scores 100 and the worst call 0, and calls in between are scored by where their win probability falls. The manager rating is the average over every key moment in the season, with its grade.

Standings and wins swing a lot with club strength and luck, so they are not part of the rating.

Where the numbers come from

Win probabilities come from real pro baseball games. Players and clubs are fictional, and whether a play works depends on the players' ratings.

Frequently asked questions

Are the players and clubs real?

They are fictional. What is real is the win probability of each situation, taken from real pro baseball games. Player ratings and the chances of a bunt or steal working are made up.

Does picking a strong club raise the rating?

No. Club strength is set each season and affects wins and standings, but the rating depends only on the calls you make in each moment.
